The first time I saw a hack circle was on tour and I was like, “Why are those people trying to kick that little ball?” I asked someone and they explained. Being adventurous I gave it a go. Man, did I stink. I kept at it and actually got pretty good. Now I’m never without a hacky sack in my backpack. Kickin’ a sack at Dead shows was a great way to meet people and to get ready for dancing!
