The best Dead show I saw wasn’t technically a Dead show. They were billed as the Warlocks, because the town was too uptight to let The Grateful Dead perform. So they flashed back to their old moniker. That night they dusted off “Dard Star”, and the first “Attics of my Life” since 72 for the encore. It was icing on the cake. Everyone just wandered out of the hall amazed, almost speechless.
